Tribute from Hope Oludayo "Small Mama Nosa"
Tribute from Seyi Oludayo
I am privileged and grateful to God I had you as my mother in law. You were a precious gift from God. You were extremely kind to me and my household, you touched our hearts in so many ways. You welcomed me into the family with open arms, endlessly showering us with gifts and love. Always calling to check on how we are doing, asking after my family, my dad. Whenever I came to Benin, you treated me so well, I felt like royalty. Even during your struggles, you never changed for one’s, you were always smiling while fighting boldly and gallantly. Mama, you were strong.
Thank you for the great job you did raising the woman that i love, my wife and the mother of my children. All of us: your children, your Buky Sola and Ayo will miss you dearly. We will always love you mummy.
Sleep well Mummy,
Rest on in the Lords Bossom.

I can’t believe my grandma is gone. I can’t believe i’ll never receive a call from her again asking me how school was and how she liked my hair. I remember when she’d call me and my siblings “omo yoruba” whenever we’d greet her. Everytime she called she asked when we’d meet her in Nigeria, and it’s hard to believe it will never happen. I remember when she’d smile at me. A genuine and heartfelt smile. I pray that she is in a place of smiles and laughter, Amen. I love you grandma.
