To my late irreplaceable mum, I will be selfish here calling you my mum when I know you were a mother to all. You were an angel full of a giving heart, and you sacrificed your social life to design a successful path for me. Mum always stated that before she leaves this earth, she will ensure she guides my siblings and I to a path that we will never fear any tribulations, and she did it. Mum always emphasized in her statement that any illness or struggles towards her children have all been taken away by arrangement between herself and God. 

She raised me up to be relentless, pushed me to drive, and pursue my dreams and life goals. I used to think the push and chastisement were excessive, but today, I understand you were that Angel that saw above us all. I watched how you struggled to make ends meet, have sleepless nights, and travel thousands of miles to ensure you give us a standard life. You deprived yourself to ensure we are alright, and you did everything within your means to shield and protect the family. You continued to struggle until you were certain that all your heart desires had been actualized and we were all placed in a comfortable umbrella. 

You never gave up on me. Several times, I fell to the ground due to wrong decisions. You picked me up, scolded, educated me and encouraged me to be a better person. There was never a single expression of giving up on me. Mama, I look back and sometimes beat myself up that I did not do enough to pay you back. However, when I remember some of the appreciative comments you always made towards me and my sibling, that gives me comfort that you left this world with fulfilment. 

Your type is hard to find these days, I am still imagining how somebody can sacrifice so much to make everybody around them comfortable, most times at the expense of depriving themself. I get random calls from people I have never meant or spoken to before, about your epitome of kindness, what you sacrificed for them, again words cannot explain your kind heart mummy. 

Mama, your unborn great great grandchildren will hear and see how you are ranked as one of the most loving-hearted historical figures of all time and they will continue to spread your loving memory over to the future generations. Your legacy will leave on for many more generations. To protect that legacy, my siblings and I are going to launch a charity foundation in your name to continue what you have started. That is, giving to the less privileged, appreciating God, and supporting the medically deprived people. 

When I look at how much you are loved by friends and family, I will say to you mummy, continue to rest with an everlasting smile on your face and be rest assured all your heart desires were fulfilled. Until I join you for an everlasting hug, please mum, continue to watch over all your loved ones and I.
